Let us help you with some common issues.

 
Error:  “Failed to extract archive”
Please ensure that your file has completely downloaded. Once you have verified that the file has finished downloading, try to install again.
If the problem persists:
  1. Delete the downloaded file
  2. Make sure that no other software, such as firewall or virus software is interfering with the download. You may need to temporarily disable these programs as well as any download managers.
  3. Download the software again, making sure that the software is completely downloaded before installing.

Where did my download go?

Firefox:

You can access downloads from your current browsing session by clicking on the Downloads Fx91DownloadsButton button in the toolbar.

  • The arrow will appear blue Fx91DownloadsButton-blue to let you know there are unviewed downloaded files.
  • During a download, the Downloads button becomes an icon Fx91DownloadProgress that gradually fills with color to show your download’s progress. You can click the download item, even before it’s finished downloading; Firefox will open the file immediately once it is available.

Click on the Downloads button to open the Downloads panel. The Downloads panel displays your five most recently downloaded files, along with their size and download status. To see all of your downloads at any time, go to the Library by clicking Show all downloads at the bottom of the Downloads panel. Right-click the Downloads button for options, such as to hide the Downloads button when there are no downloads in the current session or to show the Downloads panel when a download begins. 

Chrome:

During and After a Download:

Chrome typically displays a downloads bar/tray at the bottom of the browser window while a file is being downloaded and for a short time afterwards. 

 
 
Via the Menu:

Click the three dots (More) icon in the top right corner of Chrome. Select “Downloads” from the dropdown menu. 

 
 
Via Keyboard Shortcut:

Press Ctrl+J to open the download history tab directly. 

 
 
Finding the Default Downloads Folder:
If you’re looking for the actual folder where your downloads are saved on your computer, you can usually find it by navigating to your computer’s file explorer (Windows) or Finder (macOS) and then searching for the folder labeled “Downloads”.
 
Safari:
 
To find your Safari downloads on an Apple device, open Safari, then next to the search bar, click the “Page Settings” button (looks like a circle with an arrow) and select “Downloads” to view your download list; you can also access your downloaded files within the “Files” app on your device where they will be stored in the “Downloads” folder. 
 
 
  • Access downloads in Safari:
    Open Safari, click the “Page Settings” button (circle with an arrow) near the search bar, and select “Downloads”.
  • Find downloads in Files app:
    Open the “Files” app on your device and navigate to the “Downloads” folder to see your downloaded files.
     

Edge:

To find downloads in Microsoft Edge, click the three-dot menu (Settings and more) in the top-right corner, select “Downloads,” or use the shortcut Ctrl + J. 

 

Locate the Downloads Menu:

Open Microsoft Edge. 

Click the three-dot menu (Settings and more) in the top-right corner. 

Select “Downloads” from the menu. 

Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + J. 

View and Manage Downloads:

The Downloads menu will display a list of your recently downloaded files. 

You can then click on the folder icon next to a file to open its saved location. 

Find the Default Download Location:

By default, Microsoft Edge saves downloads to your computer’s Downloads folder. 

To check or change the download location, go to Settings and more > Settings > Downloads. 

The file path for your downloaded files (e.g., C:\\Users\\\[your name]\\Downloads) is listed under Location. 

You can also click the “Change” button to select a different location.
